Year 4C - Miss Cooke
Welcome to Year 4C!
Our topic for Autumn 1 is ‘Can you walk like an Egyptian?’
We have been learning about life in Ancient Egypt using artefacts and picture sources. We have explored the process of mummification. We have enjoyed comparing Ancient Egyptian writing (hieroglyphics) with our own and have written our names in hieroglyphics.
We had 2 minutes to wrap a friend as a mummy!

Visit to East Crompton St James' Church
Our RE topic for Autumn 1 is 'Are all churches the same'? We visited EC St James' Church and were welcomed by Reverend Dave. We looked for items such as the pews, the lectern, the altar, the font and the noticeboard. We spent some time sitting quietly and experiencing the stillness taking in what we could see, hear, smell and touch. We considered what we each thought to be the most important part of the church.
