In Science we have been looking at Scientists and Inventors. We have learned about Elizabeth Anderson, Louis Pasteur and Charles Macintosh and about how their inventions have changed our world!
In Maths we have been looking about measures. We have learned about telling the time to 5 minutes and have looked at counting, exchanging and adding money!
Below are a list of common exception words that the children will be expected to be able to read and spell by the end of the year. Please can you find time to practice these in a fun and relaxed way.
In year 2 we have 2 PE days each week. These are on Monday and Thursday afternoons. Full PE kit should be worn to these sessions which includes:
- White or grey t-shirt
- Red shorts
- Black pumps
No jewellery is permitted at any time in school, especially earrings.
Spellings and homework will be given out each Friday and these spellings will be tested the following Friday. Homework is due in the following Friday.
Reading books will be changed and chosen by the children as soon as possible after I have seen that parents have signed the books.
Please remember to keep using Times Tables Rockstars and the VLE.
